Six Magpies was created to keep the heritage of British made leather goods alive.

We only use Full Grain Leather sourced from the finest tanneries. 

Full grain means that the top layer of leather has not been removed. The top layer, like with your own skin, is where all the strength is. It is often removed and sold for a premium. Once the top grain has been removed, the leather is known as 'genuine leather'. Most people don't realise 'genuine leather' is a mark of inferiority. 

By using the Full Grain we keep all the strength in the leather which means years and years of use and hopefully an item with a story and a unique patina to pass down the generations.

All of our goods are completely handmade using traditional methods and hand tools. Our stitched goods are handstitched using Super tough 'Tiger Thread' with a very strong saddle stitch technique. Our belts use solid buckles - not hollow or welded.
